again created with 'Colors!'
I like the one underneath, because there is a visible improvement noticable. It is almost a classic example for the saying 'Practice makes perfect', although, I am far from being perfect. However, I believe I am on the right track.

It was painted with 'Colors!' on Nintendo DS. It was the first attempt to paint with this Java application. It is supposed to be my alarm clock, at least a part of it. ;o)
It is great software.

Memories of Keswick

Just doodling along. Last summer I stayed in Keswick for a couple of weeks. We were hiking each day. The landscape is stunning there.

Attack

And again, another approach of Lucio Fontana, which I tried.

Phoenix

For my finals I had a closer look at Lucio Fontana's work. I read a lot and tried this approach. This is the result. I enjoyed perforating the canvas. It was liberating.

Instead of studying I am doodling along -- which by the way will not help me in my exam. Oh well.

It is going to be a birthday present. I used polychromos colored pencils on purple paper. At the moment I quite enjoy drawing on colored paper. It appeals to me --- for now. I want to paint another landscape, but at the moment I don't have enough time. When I paint, I normally do not stop until it is finished. I simply cannot stop. In advance, I spend hours and hours thinking about it until I have the final image in my head and then so to speak just copy it.
Therefore, I draw little paintings, at the moment. :o) The size of this one is 28,5 x 20 cm. It only takes a couple of hours and then I am done with it.
Apart from Callas, I also love Tulips. They are elegant, smooth, long lasting and reduced in form.

I brought a rose a couple of days ago and it starts to fade already. Nevertheless, I thought the flower is in an interesting state worth drawing. Normally I draw flowers in their full blossom, but obviously not this time.

I posted this portait (underneath) some days ago. I decided to work further on it because it did not feel right. I liked the first version but it bugged me that the resemblance was not as good as it could be. Now when I look at the drawing (above) I see clearly the man who was meant to be it.

I have to work more with the polychromos. They are really nice. A friend of mine recommended them to me.

I brought some so called 'PITT artist pen' and I must say they are really nice to work with. I painted this Calla with them and combined them with a waterbrush.
